The Camel Sheds is our story about renovating a ruin in the valley of a thousand palms in Lanzarote. Before we started in February 2005.

We stumbled across an opportunity to buy an old house in the centre of Haría in February 2005. This was a family project to renovate an almost ruin into two properties for our family. The property had been in the same family since built, changing hands in 1938 and dated back to pre 1900. Known to the locals as the “Casa de gatos” or “Casa de Don Valenciano”, we called it the “Camel Sheds” or in Spanish “Cabañas de Camellos” as our home would be situated where the outhouses for the animals had been stabled, rather than the main house with courtyard.

This website is simply a place to store our renovation photos and progress through the years from 2005 to present day.
