The workers swapped back to Mum and Norm’s house now and started work on the lounge which is situated next to our bedroom. The walls were bad and falling apart, so this section was taken down and rebuilt. We made the top of the aljibe into a patio area for our outdoor dining table and chairs and the time was spent fitting lights, painting and cleaning so that it was ready for us to move in.  After weeks of waiting for the Ayuntamiento to issue us with the certificado de habilitidad so that we could have our electric connected we took the brave decision to move in anyway and live off a generator.
